Eber recently had the opportunity to attend the Chinese New Year Charity Luncheon 2026 at Goldhill Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, organised by F&B Connects in collaboration with Tastefully.
The event brought together F&B operators, retail businesses, and digital solution providers with a shared purpose: to connect, collaborate, and strengthen industry relationships.
We were honoured to be invited to this festive gathering and to be part of a vibrant ecosystem coming together under one roof.
The CNY Luncheon was designed to unite businesses across the retail and F&B landscape. From merchants to technology providers, the room was filled with conversations about innovation, operational efficiency, and the evolving digital landscape.
During the event, we had the opportunity to engage with fellow digital solutions providers such as Bayarlah, VirtuPay, Fiuu, RestoSuite, and MyLorry.ai.
In addition, we connected with a diverse group of retail and F&B business owners, including founders and operators who are actively growing their brands.
What made the gathering meaningful was the openness of the conversations. It was not just about exchanging business cards. It was about understanding one another’s solutions, challenges, and long-term goals. Events like this create space for genuine dialogue, and that is often where new collaborations begin.
Beyond networking, the atmosphere throughout the luncheon was warm and celebratory.
Guests enjoyed a live band performance that added energy to the afternoon. A standout highlight was the traditional Bian Lian face-changing performance, which captivated the audience and showcased a unique aspect of Chinese cultural heritage.
The lucky draw segment brought excitement and plenty of smiles, adding to the sense of community in the room.
Moments like these remind us that strong partnerships are built not only through discussions, but also through shared experiences. When businesses gather in a relaxed and festive environment, conversations flow more naturally and relationships deepen.
At Eber, partnerships are built on collaboration and shared growth.
Attending the CNY Luncheon gave us valuable opportunities to reconnect with existing partners, explore potential integrations, and exchange insights with peers across the industry. Being present in person allows for meaningful conversations that go beyond what can be achieved virtually.
As digital adoption continues to accelerate within retail and F&B, collaboration between ecosystem players becomes increasingly important. Payment providers, operational platforms, logistics solutions, and merchants all play interconnected roles. Bringing everyone together in one space reinforces alignment and opens the door to future opportunities.
In today’s digital-first environment, face-to-face engagement remains powerful.
Technology enables efficiency and scale, but trust is built through real conversations. The CNY Luncheon served as a reminder that the strength of an ecosystem lies in its relationships.
The discussions we had during the event reflected a shared commitment to building smarter and more resilient businesses. It was encouraging to see so many solution providers and merchants coming together with the intention to collaborate rather than compete.
We are grateful for the opportunity to attend the Chinese New Year Charity Luncheon 2026 and to be part of such a vibrant industry gathering.
The connections made and conversations started during the event will continue beyond the luncheon itself. As we move forward, Eber remains committed to supporting our partners and contributing to a strong, connected retail and F&B ecosystem.
Here’s to continued collaboration and a prosperous year ahead.
