Retail Loyalty Program Malaysia: MRCA Meet & Greet Recap

Building a retail loyalty program in Malaysia starts with staying close to the people shaping the industry, and MRCA’s Members Meet & Greet is exactly where that happens. Eight new associate members. Three new ordinary members. One franchise growth talk, one pickleball-fuelled networking recap, and 85 young professionals at a dinner table exchanging ideas. That’s a lot to pack into one evening, and it’s exactly why this event keeps earning a spot on our calendar.

On 26 August 2026, our team joined the Malaysia Retail Chain Association at W Nexus, First Avenue, for their August Members Meet & Greet. Registration opened at 4:00pm, the programme ran through the evening, and dinner and networking carried the room until 9:00pm.

MRCA brings together retail operators, brand leaders, and industry partners from across Malaysia. It’s a room full of people running chains, scaling multi-outlet operations, and thinking hard about how to keep customers coming back. That’s exactly the conversation Eber wants to be part of.

What Happened on the Night

The evening covered a lot of ground.

MRCA’s Franchise Division took the floor, with Michael Liew, MRCA Vice President and Chief of the Franchise Division (Marrybrown Sdn Bhd), speaking on unlocking growth through franchising, supporting members exploring expansion strategies and industry partnerships.

There was a CEO Pickleball Festival recap, where sport met business: a relaxed setting for entrepreneurs and business leaders to connect, hear real-world perspectives through panel sharing, and build relationships beyond the boardroom.

MRCA Youth held its Networking Dinner, drawing 85 participants from members and non-members alike. It’s designed to bring young entrepreneurs and professionals together to exchange ideas and create new opportunities, and the turnout showed it’s working.

MRCA also welcomed its newest members. Ordinary members admitted in August included Eagle Secure Tech, My Pickleball, and San Imaging Solution. New associate members spanned a wide mix of industries, from FCE Premium and Paywatch Malaysia to NKH Oakwood, Ruma Realty, Gathering Dream Group, FPT Software Malaysia, Paradigm REIT Management, and 1Training Worklife Management.

Why Eber Was There

Retail and F&B in Malaysia and Singapore are only getting more competitive, and the businesses that win long-term are the ones that understand their customers beyond the transaction.

That’s the problem Eber exists to solve. We help retail and F&B brands turn one-time buyers into regulars, using loyalty, data, and marketing tools built to work together. Rooms like this one, full of operators asking how to grow sustainably and keep members engaged, are exactly where those conversations happen.

Whether it’s a franchise operator scaling to new outlets or a new member just joining the association, the underlying question is the same: how do you build a customer relationship that lasts. When that’s the thread running through the room, the conversations go somewhere useful.

Connecting Across the Malaysian Retail Ecosystem

MRCA continues to be a consistent gathering point for the region’s retail community, and August’s Meet & Greet was another reminder of how much value in-person connection still holds. New members onboarded, a franchise division sharing real growth strategies, 85 young professionals networking over dinner, and a scholarship opening doors to new training pathways: a productive evening by any measure.

We’re glad to have been in the room, and we’re already looking forward to what MRCA has planned next.
